🔎Description

This fungal disease attacks the leaves and stems of box plants, but leaves the roots unaffected. Related plants like Pachysandra and Sarcococca may also be attacked.

⚠️Symptoms

Often the first signs of infection are; Leaves turning brown and falling prematurely, resulting in bare, leafless stems. These stems will show signs of dieback and black markings. On the undersides of the leaves white felt-like coverings may be seen, especially in wet conditions. Spores can be spread from plant to plant, on soils, animals and insects and through water splash.
