These plants all used to be called Datura, but have been separated according to growth type. Brugmansias grow into evergreen shrubs or trees with large trumpet-shaped flowers. Daturas are large annuals or short-lived perennials, which usually die after they have flowered and produced seeds. Neither is fully hardy.
