Why does my 'Red Robin' keep shedding its leaves?

Our Advice:

Photinia Red Robin is a broadleaved evergreen and their main surge of growth is usually in late-spring. They often shed a batch of old leaves before this growth phase starts. If this leaf shedding leaves long bare shoots, wait until the new red shoots change colour and then prune back the bare shoots to generate more new growth.
