Founder and History

The Majorelle Garden was designed by French painter Jacques Majorelle in the 1920s and 1930s. Over the years, the garden fell into disrepair until it was later restored by fashion designers Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Berge.

Yves Saint Laurent Memorial

Following Yves Saint Laurent's death in 2008, his ashes were scattered in the Majorelle Garden, and a memorial was erected in his honor. The memorial pays tribute to the fashion icon's deep connection to Marrakech and the garden.
