What's causing white, sticky spots on my star jasmine?

💡 Our Advice

This is either mealy bug or scale insect, which will get worse if you leave it. Treat the plant with Bug Clear Ultra from Scott's or Provanto Ultimate Bug Killer from Bayer. Both are systemic insecticides which circulate through the plant, killing the insects as they feed.
