The HTA’s Grower of the Year Awards 2024 are now open for entries! These awards celebrate UK nurseries that stand out in quality, service, innovation, and peat reduction. It's also a great way to spotlight new and emerging talent in the horticultural world. Retailers or suppliers can show their love for nurseries by nominating them, or growers can even nominate themselves to be recognized as one of the best.
Pippa Greenwood, Horticulture Manager of the Horticultural Trades Association (HTA), said: “Entering these awards is a fantastic way to promote and to celebrate the very best in our industry, whether you nominate a business or individual for an award or want to nominate your own business.”
The winners will be revealed at the ‘Horticulture, The Conference’ dinner in September. Plus, winners will get a shot at the AIPH International Grower of the Year Awards, where they can gain global recognition.
Melanie Asker of Greenwood Plants, who won in 2023, shared: “Winning the HTA peat-free grower of the year 2023 was a great achievement for us and felt like validation of our two-year journey to becoming a fully peat-free grower. It also offered us a fantastic platform for entry into the AIPH’s International Grower of the Year awards, where we were fortunate enough to win the highly coveted Gold Rose award. We are hugely grateful for the industry recognition that both awards have given us, and they have been an important part of the development of Greenwood.”
So, if you know a top-notch nursery or are part of one, don’t miss out—get those nominations in!
