Einhell Power X-Change 18V Cordless Electric Shears
However, some users expressed disappointment with the power output of the Einhell cordless shears. They found them to be underpowered, especially when attempting to tackle tougher branches or thicker vegetation. Another drawback mentioned by users was the occurrence of jams during operation, which hindered the cutting process and required manual intervention to resolve. Additionally, users found the shears to be uncomfortable to handle, suggesting that improvements could be made in terms of ergonomics for a more comfortable and user-friendly experience.
What Owners Think
My 80 year old wife was annoyed because she could no longer manage to use our full size Einhell hedge cutter. So I bought this lightweight cutter for her. After a twice yearly cut by me, with the big Einhell, she can now trim the hedges to perfection! Highly Recommended.
The (short) hedge trimmer works very well, and is useful for shaping and squaring a hedge. The lawn edge trimmer also works very well for that, and is good for tight corners on hedges too. Battery usage is also good, don't seem to have a "life" issue on my 4Ah battery with these at all!
I have been after one of these for ages as I have many Einhell batteries. So far I find it ergonomically clumsy to use and really underpowered. It jams a lot and is no more powerful than my 7.2V unit. The blades also run slow. I cant understand why an 18V unit is so underpowered. So far I am very disappointed. Three stars for battery life.
