Ryobi RY18PCA-0 ONE+ Patio Cleaner with Wire Brush
Users lauded the cleaner's commendable power and cable-free operation, highlighting its seamless integration with other Ryobi One tools as a significant advantage. The choice of nylon brushes as a gentler alternative to the wire brushes resonated positively among users concerned about potential damage to brick surfaces. In practice, the cleaner's ability to effectively clear debris from intricate gaps and joints was widely appreciated, with many users attesting to its impressive results.
However, user experiences revealed notable drawbacks, particularly concerning the durability and cost-effectiveness of the nylon brushes. Despite their initial appeal for delicate surfaces, users found that the nylon brushes wore down quickly, necessitating frequent replacements. This aspect proved to be a significant concern, especially for users contending with larger surface areas such as driveways or expansive patios. Additionally, the cleaner's reliance on a single wire wheel was identified as a limiting factor in terms of speed, prompting speculation about potential enhancements with the incorporation of multiple wheels for improved efficiency.
What Owners Think
Good power and does the job with no cable to worry about. Perfect addition to my other Ryobi One tools.
Only used the nylon brushes as didn't want to scratch the bricks by using the wire brushes, as mentioned in some reviews. It cleaned the gaps very very well, can't fault it for that. However the nylon brushes wear down so quickly that I would have needed 4 or 5 of them to do the whole drive which would have cost more than the actual tool, and they're not cheap Brilliant for small areas but the nylon brushes are not economical for use on big patios/drives.
Does as it says unfortunately it's slow with only one wire wheel, can't help thinking if it had 2 or 3 wheels it would be a lot quicker.
