Launched in 1982, The Cottage Garden Society (CGS) is an informal and friendly society of about 3,000 members, they have 30 groups meeting throughout the UK for talks, workshops, garden visits and plant sales

This year the society will be back at the RHS Malvern Spring Festival where they will be looking forward to talking to gardeners of all ages from children upwards! The CGS display entitled "Grow it in Pots" aims to inspire everyone to see how easy it is to grow plants from seeds and create a colourful and eco-friendly space, even if you have a small backyard or balcony.

Nowadays almost anything can be grown in pots, including vegetables and small fruit trees. Additionally, by attracting pollinators to a growing space, you can encourage predators, which will help to keep pest numbers to a minimum. Techniques such as placing bird feeders and bug boxes, and planting flowers rich in nectar can help to achieve this. The CGS team will have a list of bee plants to give out, along with seeds.

The Cottage Garden Society stand will be found in the Floral Marquee.

Tickets to the public for the RHS Malvern Spring Festival can be bought online from the show website here: www.rhsmalvern.co.uk/buy-tickets
