Flymo UltraLife 600 Robotic Lawnmower
The Flymo UltraLife 600 Robotic Lawn Mower has garnered praise from users for its autonomous operation and quiet performance, which allows it to mow without disrupting garden activities or conversations. Users appreciate the convenience of scheduling mowing sessions via the app and the mower's ability to return to its base automatically for recharging.

However, some users have found the initial setup cumbersome, particularly the task of installing and burying the perimeter wire to define the mowing area. The wire, essential for guiding the mower, requires careful handling to prevent accidental damage during installation. Additionally, while the mower effectively trims grass to a consistent length with its spinning blades, the lack of a collection bag means cut grass remains on the lawn, potentially causing tracking indoors when the grass is wet.

Maintenance-wise, users noted the need for periodic cleaning of the mower's undercarriage, similar to traditional mowers, to maintain optimal performance. Furthermore, while the optional Flymo cover provides weather protection, users have pointed out its high cost and the fact that it's not integrated with the mower's charging base, necessitating consideration for alternative, possibly more economical solutions.

Overall, the Flymo UltraLife 600 Robotic Lawn Mower is valued for its efficient and quiet mowing capabilities, ideal for maintaining lawns in regions with unpredictable weather conditions. Despite setup challenges and considerations for maintenance and accessories, it remains a practical choice for those seeking automated lawn care solutions.

What Owners Think

Works well and very quiet in operation. Setup started with laying the boundary wire which was time consuming. Software setup process was poor. Little or no explanation in the manual which was not well written. No explanation of how to set a schedule.

Easy to setup. Instructions are very simple. You get an instruction leaflet so you dont even need to open the instruction book/manual. You must install a guide wire correctly otherwise it doesnt find its way back to the charging station. Ive woken up to a freshly mowed lawn every day for almost two weeks now and it feels fantastic. For what its cost to buy Ill definitely save that and more on time mowing and getting rid of mowed grass. This mower just disperses the tiny mowed cuttings on the lawn and you cant tell theyre there as theyre that small. Im very happy with mine and although Ive only had it for two weeks Im miles more pleased with it than I thought I would be.

I have approx 100m2 of a garden and it really struggles to cop up. With avg 20mins battery life, it will probably take good 6-7 hours to complete the garden and performance when cutting at a low width is not as good. Even with no dips or hills and with a straight fwd boundary lines, this could not handle the most basic of cutting and the gfac the garden looks a right mess is whole different story! May be for small gardens but I expected much more for this price tag!!!
