Norfolk-based Peter Beales Roses has added another chapter to its remarkable Chelsea story, being awarded its 31st Gold Medal at the prestigious RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026 — continuing to hold more Gold Medals at the event than any other rose exhibitor exhibiting today.
The 2026 show stand is inspired by the timeless beauty of the English country garden, featuring over 1,000 roses grown in Norfolk by breeder Michael Baldwin and the Peter Beales team. Visitors are immersed in sweeping arches, layered fragrance, and a rich palette of traditional and modern rose varieties, brought together through collaborations with East Anglian makers and growers.
Harrod Horticultural supplied the pergola, rose supports, and elegant table and chairs from their Southwold Collection, while Foras Studio provided the striking central water feature, 'The Shard', which acted as a focal point within the garden and added movement and atmosphere to the display.
The gold medal was accompanied by two major new rose launches. The BBC 'The One Show 20th Rose' was created in partnership with the BBC to celebrate the programme's 20th anniversary, with a £5 donation from every plant sold going to BBC Children In Need. The second launch brought a touch of celebrity glamour to the stand, as Kate Moss attended the show to celebrate the launch of the new 'Kate Moss' rose — an elegant variety inspired by timeless British style, beauty, and modern romance. She spent time with the Peter Beales team alongside her mother, speaking warmly about her genuine love of the rose, gardening, and the craftsmanship behind its creation.
Ian Limmer, Head Rosarian at Peter Beales Roses, said: "This year's Chelsea exhibit has been one of our most ambitious and rewarding to date. To receive our 31st Gold Medal whilst introducing two significant rose launches at Chelsea is an incredibly proud achievement for the entire team. Chelsea remains the pinnacle of horticulture, and we are honoured to continue showcasing British rose growing on an international stage."
