Easy enough for me to assemble and instructions were good. Used on longish grass and weeds and it ploughed through them with ease. Normally takes me around 2 hours to (manually) mow my lawn, but with this super tool it only took about 1/2 an hour. The cutting cord needed pulling a couple of times and due to wetish grass and i had to clear the guard and filters a couple of times. Overall it was quick and powerful and in my oldish hands quite easy to operate. It was a bit of a workout, but that's my fault for letting the grass grow so long. Great replacement for my previous strimmer which was a bit flimsy!!
Unlike its excellent predecessor - to switch on is with two movements, Once running you have to have a serious grip which if you loosen the Flymo stops. I regularly have to change hands and grip - then energy levels have gone and I give up. Also the cutting cord breaks far too regularly when edge trimming. The power to strength of cord may be too great. Far better with the old XT when cutting the same edges. Fine for just cutting grass.
I loved how easy it was to put together. The colour is nice and bright. It did become heavy after a while could do with a shoulder strap for support. Cut the grass really well.
