When is the best time to prune a tassel bush?

Our Advice:

Garrya should be pruned immediately after flowering as the catkins fade. Cut off the sections of shoot that had flowers on and remove any thin, weak shoots. After pruning, feed with a general fertiliser such as Growmore or pelleted chicken manure to promote new growth.
