To keep dahlias healthy and disease-free, start by selecting disease-resistant varieties and planting them in well-draining soil with good air circulation. Water the plants at the base to prevent the leaves from getting wet, which can lead to fungal diseases. Remove any diseased or damaged foliage and flowers promptly, and sterilize your tools between cuts to prevent the spread of disease. Finally, avoid overcrowding the plants, as this can also contribute to disease problems.
