How can I control rust on hollyhocks?

Our Advice:

Hollyhocks are notorious for rust. Sprays of Rosegarde from Vitax or Fungus Fighter Plus from SBM/Bayer will help to control it, but you will need to keep spraying regularly. Try to begin early, before the fungus establishes, as most fungicides work better as a protective covering on leaves before the plants are attacked.
