What can I do to control Hemerocallis gall midge?

💡 Our Advice
When the flower buds become visible, well before any blooms start to open, spray with Bug Clear Ultra from Scott's. This should help to control the adult midges, reducing the number of maggots damaging the buds. Remove and destroy any galled buds as soon as they appear. Damage by this pest usually ends by mid-summer.
