How can I get rid of wild ivy smothering my garden?

Our Advice:

Cut the ivy down and let it re-grow until the shoots are about a 30cm (12 ins) long. Treat these with Resolva 24H Concentrate from Westland or Super Strength Glyphosate from Bayer. The young leaves will absorb more chemical and the ivy will die more rapidly.
