What causes patches of sticky white fungus on Euonymus?

Our Advice:

Usually scale insects, sucking sap from the leaves and stems of the plant and producing distinctive patches of “cotton wool”. A contact spray like SB Plant Invigourator or Organic 2 in 1 Plant Invigourator from Vitax will clear them. Sprays with a physical mode of action, like these, tend to be a better option at lower temperatures.
