What is causing brown patches on my camellia flowers?

Our Advice:

This is a fungal disease called Camellia petal blight. Collecting and disposing of all fallen flowers will help reduce infection in following years. Mulching the soil with a 10cm (4in) deep layer of garden compost or shredded bark after flowering will also help.
