When is the best time to prune a large holly bush?

Our Advice:

Late-spring or early-summer, when they are growing rapidly. Trim back the stems by about one third and feed it with a general fertiliser like Pelleted Chicken Manure or Growmore at about 100g per sq m (4 oz per sq yard). Water the fertiliser into the soil if it is dry.
