The most common cause of brown and soft leaves on Aloe vera is over-watering. Aloe vera is a succulent plant and is adapted to thrive in dry conditions. When the soil is constantly moist or watered too frequently, the roots can become waterlogged, leading to root rot. This can cause the leaves to turn brown and soft. To fix this issue, reduce the frequency of watering and allow the soil to dry out completely between watering.
