Why are the leaves on my Yucca turning brown and dry?

Our Advice:

Brown and dry leaves on a Yucca plant can be a sign of underwatering or exposure to dry air. Yucca plants are native to desert regions, so they are adapted to dry conditions, but they still need some moisture to thrive. When the soil is too dry for too long, the plant's leaves may start to turn brown and dry out.

To remedy brown and dry leaves, make sure the Yucca is getting enough water. Water it deeply and then allow the soil to dry out partially before watering again. It is also important to ensure that the air around the plant is not too dry. You can increase humidity levels by placing a tray of water near the plant or by using a humidifier. Finally, avoid placing the plant in direct sunlight or near heating sources that can dry out the air.

Yucca Plants: Characteristics
