I have been given a paintbrush plant, how do I look after it?

Our Advice:

This plant Haemanthus albiflos must have a minimum winter temperature of 15c and a damp, but never waterlogged, compost at all times. It prefers good light but not direct sunlight which can burn the leaves. Wipe the leaves with a soft cloth if they become dusty. The small white flowers are sometimes followed by orange-red berries.
