What is eating the leaves and flowers on my fritilleries?

Our Advice:

The most likely culprits are lily beetles, which attack Fritillarias as well as lillies, as they are in the same family. Spray with Pyrol Insecticide from Neudorff or Bug Clear Ultra from Scott's as soon as you can. If possible, spray in the evening as this pest often feeds at night and most pollinating insects have gone to bed.
