Chlorophytum are easy plants to grow but to keep the leaves green and healthy they prefer a part-shaded position. If they are placed in bright sunlight the leaves often turn yellow. If they are watered too frequently the leaves will yellow so only give enough water to keep the compost damp and feed the plant regularly.
