How do I plant tulips in a lawn?

Our Advice:

To plant tulips in a lawn, use a bulb planter to make small holes in the turf, about 6-8 inches apart. Plant the bulbs with the pointed end facing up, cover with soil, and press down gently. Water the area well and avoid mowing until the foliage has died back naturally.
