Chrysanthemums can be trained into a variety of shapes, including globes, standards, and cascading forms. To train your chrysanthemum into a specific shape, start by selecting a healthy plant with a strong, straight stem. Use stakes or wire frames to support the plant as it grows, tying the stems to the support structure with soft twine or plant ties. Trim back any side shoots or flowers that emerge on the stem to encourage upward growth and maintain the desired shape. You may also need to pinch back the growing tips to encourage branching and fuller growth.
