What can I use to control woolly aphids on my apple tree?

Our Advice:

This aphid shelters under fine white strands of wax, like cotton wool. Spray during dry, calm weather with Bug Clear Ultra (Scott's) or Plant Rescue Fruit & Vegetable Bug Killer Concentrate (Westland). It may take several applications to bring the pest under control.
