What causes mottled leaves on an angels trumpet plant?

Our Advice:

This is likely to be red spider mites. Spray with Provanto Bug Killer aerosol from Bayer or Bug Clear Ultra from Scott's (several applications may be needed). Alternatively, next spring use a biological control of insects which eat the mites, but they need a minimum temperature of 16c to survive.
