How and when, do I prune a trumpet vine?

Our Advice:

Campsis needs its main stems training to form a framework, then prune side shoots back to 2-3 buds in early-spring and cut out any shoot tips that were damaged by winter frost or wind. Feed with sulphate of potash after pruning.
