What is causing orange blotches on the leaves of my pear tree?

Our Advice:

This is a fungus called pear rust. Spray during dry, calm weather with an approved fungicide such as Systhane Fungus Fighter from Bayer or Fungus Fighter Plus Concentrate from Westland. Repeat as recommended on the pack.
