When is the best time to prune a pearl bush?

Our Advice:

Exochorda is spring-flowering shrub and the best time to prune it is just after flowering finishes. Cut out any thin weak shoots and remove any old unproductive stems (usually about one-third of the oldest stems). Apply general fertiliser for a good display next year.
