Can I leave my pot-grown olive tree outside for the winter?

💡 Our Advice
Olives are quite hardy and some can survive winter temperatures of down -10C for the branches and stems. The roots are less tough, so wrap the pot in 2-3 layers of bubble wrap. In extreme cold cover the stems with horticultural fleece held in place with clothes pegs. Moving your plant to a warm, sheltered spot will also help.
