How can I get rid of the ants in a compost bin?

Our Advice:

Ants prefer warm, dry places to build their nests and don't like being disturbed. If you water and turn your compost heap regularly you will find the ants will leave. You could place an ant bait station such as; Nippon Ant killer or apply a biological control such as No Ants from (Nemasys) to kill young ants and drive away adults.
