How can I get rid of ants in a compost bin?

Our Advice:

Ants prefer warm, dry places to build their nests and do not like being disturbed. Turn your compost heap regularly and you will find the ants will leave. Alternatively, apply a biological control such as No Ants (Nemasys) to kill young ants and drive away adults.
