Is it OK to place coffee bags in my compost bin?

💡 Our Advice
Coffee grounds are a good source of slow-release nitrogen, when spread around the base of your plants. Coffee grounds contain about 2% nitrogen, small amounts of phosphorous and plenty of organic matter. Some brands of bag will be slower to rot than others.
