How can I get rid of the flies in my compost bin?

💡 Our Advice
Flies are normal in compost, but too many indicate it is wetter or colder than it should be. Turning the compost more frequently will speed up the process and generate heat, which will kill the maggots. Adding a compost accelerator like Garotta from J Arthur Bowers also helps.
