How can I get rid of small black flies in my hyacinth pots?

💡 Our Advice
These flies or fungus gnats are often found in compost that has been stored outdoors in wet conditions, or in very wet, poorly-drained compost. You can control this pest for up to 3 months by inserting cardboard 'pins' of Bug Clear Ultra for Pots from Scott's into the compost.
