How do I propagate a Vriesea plant?

Our Advice:

These Bromeliad plants are propagated by small plants 'offsets', which emerge around the base of the parent plant, usually after it has flowered. Remove the compost around the base of the plant and pull away each offset with a small amount of root and plant individually into small pots. This is best done in early summer.
