When is the best time to prune rose bushes?

💡 Our Advice
Mid-March is ideal for most roses. If you prune too early the frost can penetrate the pruning cuts and new growth can get frost damaged. Prune, feed with a general fertiliser like Growmore or Vitax Q4 and spray with Fungus Fighter from SBM when the leaves start to open to kill any overwintering blackspot fungal spores.
