When is the best time to prune wisteria?

Our Advice:

In late July or early August train in the growths you wish to keep and trim the rest to about 30cm long. Also cut out any dead or dying shoots as they are easier to see in summer. In February prune back any frost damage and trim the shoots you pruned the previous summer by cutting them back to 3 buds.
