When is the best time to prune wisteria?

Our Advice:

In late July train in the growths you wish to keep and trim the rest to about 30cm (12in). Also cut out any dead shoots as they are easier to see in summer. In February prune back any frost damage and trim 1-year old shoots back to 3 buds.
