When should I prune my climbing potato plant?

Our Advice:

Climbing potato, Solanum crispum, is semi-evergreen and pruning in early spring by cutting back the side shoots to about four buds. Cut out any shoots which have been damaged by winter frosts and tie in the main stems to supports.
