How can I get rid of ivy which is spreading in the garden?

Our Advice:

Cut the ivy back and let it re-grow until the new shoots are about 30 cm (12 in) long and then treat the new leaves with Superfast Long Lasting Weedkiller from Neudorff. These young leaves absorb the chemical more rapidly, killing the ivy more quickly. Avoid getting any chemical on the plants you wish to keep.
