How can I stop wireworms attacking my potatoes?

💡 Our Advice
There are no chemical controls. Grow patches of wheat or mustard amongst your potatoes to attract the pest, then dig these up and burn them just before the end of peak feeding periods from March - May and from September - late October. Some gardeners have reported success using Chafer Grub Killer nematodes as a control.
