How should I prune my overgrown camellia bush?

Our Advice:

These plants will tolerate severe pruning, providing it is done at the right time. Renovation pruning should be carried out in the spring, cutting back large branches to 60 cm (2 ft) above ground level. For large plants, do this in stages over several years.
