What is causing pale, curled leaves on my bay tree?

Our Advice:

This is caused by small white insects called bay leaf suckers and their feeding has caused the leaves to curl up. Spray with Sprayday Bayer Greenfly Killer'>Greenfly Killer from Bayer or Resolva Bug Killer from Westland. Both will kill the insects as they feed and prevent damage to the new growth, but will not get rid of the white markings on older leaves.
