What is making the leaves on my Pyracantha hedge turn silver?

💡 Our Advice
This is leaf miner, a small grub which tunnels inside the leaf and causes the outer skin to separate and form an air pocket, giving the leaf a silver appearance. Spray the plants from May to June and again in August to September with Bug Clear Ultra from Scott's or Sprayday Bayer Greenfly Killer'>Greenfly Killer from Bayer.
