Why are the horse chestnut leaves looking so scorched this year?

💡 Our Advice
This is usually a disorder, rather than a disease, caused by the tree not getting enough water to the leaves. It happens when we get long periods of hot, dry weather. The browning starts at the edges of the leaves and covers them. The tree looks a mess but will recover, although the symptoms may recur next year.
