Why are there pink maggots in many of my plums?

Our Advice:

This is the juvenile stage of the plum moth. Next year, you can spray the tree with PY Insect Killer from Vitax or Provanto Ultimate Fruit & Veg Bug Killer from Bayer just after the flower petals fall to control the adults and again 3 weeks later to kill caterpillars. Use a pheromone trap indicate the best time to spray.
